About Us

MISSION STATEMENT

At Cedar Nursery we aim to provide a high quality nursery setting which supports and nurtures each child as an individual. We work closely with families to ensure that children feel safe, secure and happy – their emotional wellbeing is paramount.

Learning through play and developing a natural curiosity about the world is actively encouraged at Cedar Nursery. Our children are supported and challenged in their learning by experienced and caring staff members who understand that each child is an individual and that they all learn in different ways.

Outdoor play is an important aspect of play and learning at Cedar Nursery, our children are encouraged to be outdoors every day in all weathers, experiencing the seasons and observing the changes that occur. We believe that children need to participate in physical activity and understand the importance of an active, healthy approach and we strive to ensure that all our children have this opportunity every day.

We value the importance of communication and good relationships throughout the nursery, as part of our team, with families and in our relationships with children.

Through consultation with children and families we are able to continuously improve our service and ensure that we are meeting the needs of our community and our children.

We strive to ensure that our parents feel informed and that they feel they are active participants in their children’s learning and development while they are in our care here at Cedar Nursery and After School Care.
